Family breadwinners who want job security – as an employee you cannot control corporate change or downsizing.  Your only true job security is to build a clientele of your own.

Quality of life – if you want to attend important events with your children - soccer games, football evenings, PTA meetings and other event – you need flexibility and control.  Retailing, restaurants, and other careers may require long hours, evenings and weekends.  At last - enjoy time with family; attend events and social gatherings you could never attend before.

Supplementary income earners – if you are a caregiver, you will appreciate freedom to take children to the doctor, meet them at school, take time for volunteer work, shopping, or meeting with friends.   These critical activities are impossible with fixed store or office hours.

Mothers (and fathers, too) transitioning back to work – if you have pre-school children you need flexibility to care for family as you re-enter the work force.  Fulfilling, productive work can bring well-rounded happiness to career managers and professionals.
